Hi, Krystil!

We know how imperative it is to your health and the health of Brielle to get a full night of Zzz’s. And we’re so happy you took the Trustle sleep assessment, backed by over 20 expert child sleep coaches and decades of research, so we can help, starting tonight!

Here’s what isn’t working

Brielle's Analysis

We looked at your responses and have made the following analysis of Brielle’s sleep.
1. Bedtime

You told us putting Brielle to bed is exhausting and takes forever. That’s so hard!

Sleep Pressure

“Sleep pressure” is the technical term for how tired a baby is. The goal with sleep pressure is to have just the right amount. Think of it like a balloon - too little air and the balloon won’t float, and with too much air it will pop. At just the right amount, Brielle will drift off to sleep without complaint.

Brielle could be struggling with bedtime because she isn’t tired enough. Of course it makes intuitive sense - if someone told you to sleep at 6pm you probably wouldn’t be able to. (Well, as a busy parent maybe you would!) Be careful to not make Brielle too tired, though; that’s equally as likely to make bedtime difficult.

Here’s a chart for how much sleep you should be aiming for. Keep in mind, this is a general guide, and children vary significantly.

7 Months
Daytime Sleep
3-4 hours
Time Awake Before Bed
3-4 hours
Nighttime Sleep
10-11 hours
13-15 hours

Bedtime Routine

A key part of a sucessfull bedtime is the routine. Going to sleep is a skill, and young children are still learning it, alongside everything else they’re learning.

It looks like you have a solid routine in place which is great. Just make sure you keep it consistent each day.

2. Overnight

This chart shows you how all babies and adults move between light to deep sleep all night.. Feel familiar??

The difference for adults (and for children who don’t wake up all night) is that they barely come out of light sleep and immediately fall back to sleep. Babies aren’t born knowing how to go back to sleep themselves. They need help. Cue the crying!

While Brielle isn't too bad overnight, we can likely make improvements based upon this.

Sleep Independence

Brielle goes to sleep without any support which is great!

Because you go in overnight, and because Brielle doesn’t yet have the skills to go back to sleep, she continues to need you in the middle of the night. Picking up, rocking, feeding or soothing Brielle back to sleep at all hours is exhausting and unsustainable. But with the right sleep training method, you can give her the skills to not need this intervention.

Here’s How we can fix it

Brielle's Proposed Plan

You’ve tried fixing your sleep situation before - it didn’t work. We’re so glad you’re here, so we can help make sure you achieve sleep success this time.

Sleep training is a journey, and you can either Sprint, Run or Walk to get to your full-night-of-sleep destination. Based on everything you told us about you and Brielle, the method that best suits your needs is the “Run It” method.
The Run-It Method

The “Run It” Method is also referred to as “check-and-console.”  There are a number of variations out there that claim to be the ‘perfect way,’ but in reality they are all based on the same method.

How It's Done:

Put Brielle in the crib awake and allow her to fuss or cry for a few minutes at a time. You stay involved in the entire process, offering her comfort and reassurance until she falls asleep.

It's effective and parents are more likely to stay consistent as there’s less crying involved than in “Sprint It” (or a traditional Cry It Out method). You mentioned a moderate tolerance to crying, so in this method, with crying being intermittent and typically lower in intensity, it may be easier to tolerate.
Some babies may find the presence of a parent stimulating, or more aggravating than soothing. And it does take a bit longer than the “Sprint It” method.

In many ways, “Running It” is the most balanced approach, but it can be difficult to stay consistent for longer than a few days. Sign up for a guided plan and have the support of a Trustle sleep coach expert every step of the way. This method can be highly effective, but it is key to implement it with consistency and in a way that moves you towards your goal. Get help to do it the right way, the first time.

Ashley, New Mom
Alina gave us a life-changing solution around bedtime. My husband and I were very skeptical. But it has genuinely changed our lives. We can put him down now and do things! We’ve never had a date night before Alina was introduced into our lives.
Kristi, Mother of an 9-Month-Old
I finally got a plan that worked for my family. Alina was amazing and I am so grateful for her help!
The Trustle Approach

Most sleep training fails because parents don’t know how to do it properly - and it’s no wonder, with all the contradicting information out there. Don’t fall into this trap.

Google doesn’t work. Yes, it’s free, but the advice is contradictory. This is because there isn’t one approach that is best for every family.

Books don’t work.  While some of them offer a detailed plan, how do you make it work for your family, and what do you do if you get stuck and need to change course?

Trustle works.  We created Trustle to be a fool-proof, but cost-effective alternative to sleep consultants, who usually charge an average of $500 for a consultation.  Trustle allows you to invest in your health and well being, while also being affordable - and, we guarantee it will work.

A lack of sleep can be harmful to a family, and most of our parents say they wished they had started sooner.  Sign up to Trustle and you’ll never be unsure of what to do, and will have a happily sleeping child in no time! Don’t spend another night losing sleep - your health is worth it!

A solid sleep training plan and maintaining consistency throughout the process will avoid confusion and make it easier for Brielle to get on board the sleeping-through-the-night train.  Often, attempts to sleep train fail because it’s not the right method for that family and / or the plan isn’t implemented in the right way.  We make sure that’s not the case by being by your side each step of the way!

Now we’ve identified the right method, sign up now for full plan including a daily guide to follow, and unlimited support from an infant sleep consultant.
